Cobleskill, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill Athletic Department announced today that first-year catcher/designated play Gianna Guido, Clifton Park, N.Y., Shenendehowa High School, a member of the softball team has been named the athletic program's Fighting Tiger Athlete-of-the-Week for the week ending March 31, 2024.
 
The Clifton Park, N.Y. native had a big weekend at the plate in road doubleheaders versus The Express of Wells College in Aurora, N.Y. and SUNY Potsdam in Potsdam, N.Y. for the Fighting Tigers going 4-for-11, .363 batting average, with three home runs, seven RBI and five runs scored.
 
On the season to date in 11 games is batting .241 with three home runs, eight RBI and five runs scored.
 
The Fighting Tigers are currently 4-8 overall on the year and are next scheduled to open their North Atlantic Conference (NAC) season, weather permitting, over the weekend when they travel to Canton, N.Y. for a three-game set versus the Kangaroos of SUNY Canton starting with a single game on Friday April 5 at 4:00 p.m. followed by a doubleheader on Saturday April 6 beginning at 12:00 p.m.
