Six Fighting Tigers Earn Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete Honors

Cobleskill, N.Y. – The SUNY Cobleskill softball team placed six student-athletes on the 2025-26 Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete list, recognizing their outstanding achievements in the classroom during the academic year.

Representing the Fighting Tigers were junior Madelynn Orosz (Seymour, Conn.) (Animal Science B.S.), junior Kylie Rattigan (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) (Canine Training & Management B.T.), sophomore Samantha Bargren (Wilmington, Del.) (Plant Science B.T.), sophomore Gabriella Wendelken (Stuyvesant, N.Y.) (Cybersecurity B.T.), freshman Jillian Jensen (Clarence, N.Y.) (Cybersecurity B.T./Business Administration B.S.), and freshman Baylee Yandow (Williston, Vt.) (Animal Science B.T.).

The Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete award recognizes softball student-athletes who achieved a 3.50 or higher grade point average during the 2025-26 academic year. The honor is based solely on each student-athlete's GPA for the 2025-26 academic year rather than their cumulative collegiate GPA.

The Fighting Tigers finished the 2026 season with a 22-21 overall record and a 10-6 mark in conference play. Their 22 victories tied the program record for wins in a single season.

The six honorees continued the program's tradition of academic success, exemplifying SUNY Cobleskill's commitment to excellence both in the classroom and on the field.
