Cobleskill, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill Athletic Department announced today that senior Jason Treffiletti, Cohoes, N.Y., Shaker High School, a member of the baseball team has been named the athletic program's Fighting Tiger Athlete-of-the-Week for the week ending May 12, 2024.
 
The Fighting Tiger senior right-hander was named to the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) All-Tournament Team for the league's Championship Tournament hosted by Cobleskill at Fighting Tiger Field over the weekend.
 
The Cohoes, N.Y. native turned in a stellar effort in three appearances at the event recording a pair of extended relief outings at the event working the final 4 2/3 innings of scoreless relief in the teams 6-4 13 inning victory over Lesley University in the team's opening contest on Thursday then coming back on Friday to work 4 1/3 innings of relief in the teams 18-10 victory over Eastern Nazarene College in an elimination situation allowing three earned runs in near dark conditions to advance the Fighting Tigers to league's championship game on Saturday.
 
For the season the Shaker High School alumnus went 6-1 out of the Fighting Tiger bullpen with a 3.67 earned run averages in 27 innings of work over 15 appearances striking out 20 hitters while walking nine and holding opposing batters to a .267 average for the season.
 
Cobleskill finished the season with an 18-23 overall record while winning their fourth consecutive NAC Western Division Championship with a 10-3 record versus league opponents.
