Peters Wins Again, Cobleskill Takes Second at the Fred Pavlich Invitational

Lilianna Peters claims her fourth win of the season

Annandale-on-Hudson,NY: The SUNY Cobleskill women's cross country team secured a strong second-place finish out of 14 teams at the 2024 Fred Pavlich Invitational, hosted by Bard College on Saturday morning. 

Lilianna Peters (Hinsdale, NY/Allegany-Limestone) continued her dominant season, recording her fourth straight invitational win in dramatic fashion. Peters claimed victory in a thrilling photo finish, clocking in at 24:32.7, just .2 seconds ahead of a competitor from New Paltz.

Alyssa Freeguard (Argyle, NY) delivered another impressive performance, finishing seventh overall with a time of 25:53.2. Molly Repicky (Schoharie, NY) followed with a 14th-place finish in 27:00.0, closely trailed by Kathrine Ledermann (Altamont, NY/Guilderland), who took 15th at 27:08.2. Rounding out Cobleskill's top six runners, Gillian Miner (Saranac, NY) secured 28th place in 28:47.2, while Liz Vaughn (Chhemung, NY/Waverly) finished in 31st place with a time of 29:05.5.

The Fighting Tigers will return to action on October 12th, as they travel to Westfield State University for the James Earley Invitational.
