Delhi, N.Y. – The SUNY Cobleskill women's cross country team continued its strong fall season on Wednesday afternoon, racing to a first-place team finish at the 27th Annual Bronco Classic hosted by SUNY Delhi. The Fighting Tigers were powered by a dominant individual performance from sophomore 
Gabrielle Waite (Pulaski, N.Y.), who earned the first victory of her collegiate career.
Waite broke away early on the 5K course at the Delhi College Golf Course and never looked back, crossing the line in 19:56.7 — nearly 50 seconds ahead of the next finisher — to take the individual title. Senior 
Alyssa Freeguard (Argyle, N.Y.) followed with her best performance of the season, placing third overall in 21:25.9 to give Cobleskill a strong one-two punch up front.
The Fighting Tigers kept their pack tight throughout the race, with sophomore 
Madison Binette (Lewiston, Maine) finishing sixth in 22:13.3, sophomore 
Gillian Miner (Saranac, N.Y.) taking seventh in 22:48.5, and sophomore 
Liz Vaughn (Chemung, N.Y.) crossing in eighth at 22:11.4 to round out Cobleskill's scoring five.
Additional strong performances came from sophomore 
Samantha Amalfitano (Rocky Point, N.Y.) in 12th at 26:54.0, first-year 
Isabella Baier (McKinney, Texas) in 13th at 27:36.1, and Foune Keita in 14th at 28:03.1. Junior 
Bethanie Becker (Miller Place, N.Y.) followed in 15th at 28:07.0, while junior 
Ivy Stensland (Gilbertsville, N.Y.) and sophomore 
Natalie Gardener (Interlaken, N.Y.) rounded out the Cobleskill lineup in 16th and 17th, respectively.
