Canton, NY – The SUNY Cobleskill men's golf team turned in a steady showing at the SUNY Canton Invitational on Thursday afternoon, finishing seventh overall with a team score of 338 (+50) at Partridge Run Golf and Country Club.
Sophomore
Benjamin Casola (Oneonta, NY) paced the Tigers with a sharp round of 78 (+6), tying for 10th in the field. Casola's highlight came on the par-three 15th, where he rolled in a birdie to close strong.
Isaac Walker (Roxbury, NY) carded an 86 (+14) to place 32nd, dropping a birdie on the par-four 13th.
Joshua House (Saratoga Springs, NY) and
James Longwell (Little Falls, NY) each finished tied for 36th at 87 (+15). House found some red numbers with two birdies, first on the par-five 12th and again on the par-three 15th. Rounding out the lineup,
Bruno Groth (Andover, NJ) posted an 89 (+17) to take 39th, highlighted by a birdie on the par-four fifth.
