Josh House wins Keuka Invite

House Wins Keuka Fall Invitational, Leads Cobleskill to Fifth-Place Finish

Penn Yan, NY – The SUNY Cobleskill men's golf team was paced by a standout performance from Joshua House (Saratoga Springs, NY), who captured medalist honors at the Keuka Fall Invitational on Wednesday morning. The Fighting Tigers placed fifth overall in the team standings at the Lakeside Country Club's par-72, 6,513-yard course.

House fired a one-under-par 71 to claim his first tournament win of the season. His round was highlighted by six birdies—three on the front nine and three on the back. He picked up early momentum with birdies on the par-4 second hole and back-to-back birdies on the par-5 sixth and par-4 seventh. On the inward nine, House kept his putter hot with birdies on the par-5 12th and 13th before capping off his day with a birdie on the par-5 18th to secure the victory.

Behind him, Benjamin Casola (Oneonta, NY) turned in a strong round of 80 (+8) to place 10th, carding three birdies of his own on holes six, seven, and 13. Isaac Walker (Roxbury, NY) delivered a strong showing as well, finishing 20th overall with a round of 85 (+13). Walker recorded two birdies on the day, one on the par-5 sixth and another on the par-4 15th.James Longwell (Little Falls, NY) shot an 89 (+17) to finish 29th, highlighted by a birdie on the par-5 sixth hole. Bruno Groth (Andover, NJ) rounded out the Tigers' scoring with a 92 (+20), finishing 33rd and recording a birdie on the par-5 13th.

The Fighting Tigers return home this Saturday, September 27, to host the SUNY Cobleskill NAC Preview at Cobleskill Golf and Country Club, with tee times set for 12 p.m.
