Cobleskill, NY – The SUNY Cobleskill Athletic Department has announced that first-year Samantha Fausti (Clayton, WA) and sophomore Tony Woodie (West Palm Beach, FL) have been named the Fighting Tiger Athletes of the Week for the period ending March 15, 2026.

Fausti turned in a breakout week at the plate, setting the tone at the top of the lineup with consistent, quality at-bats. The freshman went 7-for-10 (.700) across contests against Alfred State, La Roche, Brooklyn College, and Drew, regularly barreling the ball and reaching base. She drove in three runs, drew six walks to extend innings, and scored seven times while adding a double against Alfred State.

Defensively, Fausti was just as reliable, recording 11 putouts and six assists while helping turn a double play. She finished the week with a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage, showcasing her impact on both sides of the game.

Woodie provided a power boost for the Tigers during their spring break trip, delivering timely extra-base hits against a challenging slate that included Roanoke, Swarthmore, and Mitchell. The sophomore went 5-for-12 at the plate with two home runs and eight RBIs, anchoring the middle of the lineup. He also scored twice and added a stolen base, continuing to be a consistent offensive presence.
