Gansevoort, N.Y.: The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) announced today that SUNY Cobleskill freshman Katherine Noncarrow, Allendale, N.J., Northern Highland Regional High School, has been voted as the conference's 2019 NEAC Women's Swimming & Diving Rookie-of-the-Year by the league's coaches. The talented freshman was the Fighting Tigers top performer at the 2019 NEAC Swimming & Diving Championships over the weekend hosted by Cazenovia College in Cazenovia, N.Y.
Individually, Noncarrow won the 400-individual medley in a league record time of 5:01.98 and the 100-backstroke in 2:24.97 to earn First Team All-NEAC honors in each event to go with a second place finish in the 100-individual medley in 1:07.63 to earn Second Team All-NEAC Team honors in the event.
The Allendale, N.J. native also swam the anchor legs on the Fighting Tigers third place finishing in the 200-freestyle relay in 1:55.68 and the team's third place 400-freestyle relay in 4:13.27 to earn All-NEAC Third Team honors in each event.
Paced by Noncarrow's efforts, Cobleskill posted a team total of 229 points to finish in fourth place at the championship meet.

Jamie Hotaling the talented freshman has been a great addition to the program with a big future ahead of her.
"Katherine is very talented in the pool and is always looking for ways to get better by working harder and smarter. She really has a great attitude and is a joy to coach because of her commitment and because she is an absolutely fierce competitor. If she sets her mind to accomplishing something she will get it."
