Hamilton, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill men's indoor track & field team posted a team total of 36 points to place sixth in a field of eight teams at the 2020 Class of '32 Invitational hosted by Colgate University at the Charles H. Sanford Fieldhouse on Saturday.
The Fighting Tiger distance running corps did the bulk of the team's damage at the event as sophomore Dillon Vandemortel, Newark, N.Y., Newark High School, won the 800-meter run in a time of 2:04.81 to go with a fourth place finish in the mile run in a time of 4:31.21 while sophomore
Jared Craw, Colonie, N.Y., Colonie High School/Hudson Valley Community College, placed sixth in the 800-meter run in 2:10.86 to go with a sixth place in the mile run with a time of 4:43.01.
In the sprints, junior
Alex Hitchcock, Cobleskill, N.Y., Cobleskill-Richmondville High School, continued his strong season with a second place finish in the 400-meter dash in 52.20 and an sixth place finish in the 60-meter dash in 7.31 seconds to round out the team's scoring.
Cobleskill will return to action on Friday February 21
st when qualified team members will compete at the Armory College Last Chance Meet hosted by the Armory New Balance Track & Field Center in New York, N.Y. beginning at 3:00 p.m.
