Cobleskill, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill Athletic Department announced today that senior Jayson Maxwell, Newport, N.Y., Notre Dame High School, a member of the men's baseball team has been named one of the department's Fighting Tiger Athlete-of-the-Week for the week ending Sunday May 24, 2021.

The Fighting Tiger left fielder was named to the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) All-Tournament Team for his play at the 2021 NAC Baseball Championship Tournament Finals hosted by Husson University in Bangor, Maine on Thursday and Friday.
Maxwell batted .462 for the week going 6-for-13 with two doubles, a triple and three runs scored in three games.

For the season the Newport, N.Y. native batted .349 going 30-for-86 at the plate including 10 doubles, a triple and four home runs with 21 runs batted in and 22 runs scored on the year. Maxwell also had a .418 on base percentage with a .628 slugging percentage on the season while defensively committing only one error in 39 chances for a .974 fielding average.
