Cobleskill, N.Y.: SUNY Cobleskill men's baseball team members senior outfielder
Jayson Maxwell, Newport, N.Y., Notre Dame High School, and freshman pitcher/infielder
Stephen Tejada, Queens, N.Y., High School for Construction, were named to the 2021 D3baseball.com All-New York Region Third Team. They become the first players in program history to be named to the publication's All-New York Region Team.
The talented duo led the Fighting Tigers to the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Western Division Title by posting a 15-9 overall record including a 10-4 record in the program's first season of conference action before falling in the league's overall championship series to Husson University on the road in Bangor, Maine.

Lance Ratchford the talented duo played a major role in the team's success this season.
"Stephen and Jayson had outstanding years four us. They both contributed to helping our program go to the next level and played a big part of our achieving our overall goal which was winning the Western Division and ultimately playing for a conference championship. Beyond that they were both a joy to coach on and off the field and reflect who we aspire to be as a program."
Jayson Maxwell enjoyed an outstanding senior season for the Orange & Black earning All-NAC Second Team honors for his play this season and was selected to the NAC All-Tournament Team for his play during the league's post-season championship tournament.
For the season the Newport, N.Y. native batted .349 going 30-for-86 at the plate including 10 doubles, a triple and four home runs with 21 runs batted in and 22 runs scored on the year. Maxwell also had a .418 on base percentage with a .628 slugging percentage on the season while defensively committing only one error in 39 chances for a .974 fielding average.
Stephen Tejada proved to be one of the New York Regions top utility players excelling at the plate and the mound as the Queens, N.Y. native in 18 appearance batted .400 with a .459 on-base percentage to go with 16 runs scored, eight runs batted in, six stolen bases and five doubles. On the mound Tejada went 2-1 in six appearances with a 3.96 ERA in 25 innings of work striking out 23 while walking 10 on the year.
