Woodie Named D3baseball.com All-Region Second Team

Cobleskill, NY – SUNY Cobleskill sophomore outfielder Tony Woodie (West Palm Beach, FL) added another honor to his historic 2026 campaign after being selected to the D3baseball.com All-Region 1 Second Team.

The 2026 season marks the 14th year that D3baseball.com has recognized the nation's top performers with its All-Region teams. More than 1,000 student-athletes were nominated nationwide, with selections made by D3baseball.com staff and contributors who voted on three teams in each region.

Woodie etched his name into the program record book this spring, producing one of the finest offensive seasons in SUNY Cobleskill baseball history. The sophomore set new single-season program records with 10 home runs and 57 RBIs while helping lead the Fighting Tigers to another postseason appearance.

Head Coach Austin Straub spoke highly of Woodie's impact on the program and his historic season.

"Extremely proud of Tony and his accomplishments this season. As our program continues to build, individual accomplishments and accolades only confirm that we've got great talent here at Cobleskill and, more importantly, guys like Tony who are willing to put in the work. After a storied season in our program's history, it's awesome to see Tony cap off the year with All-Region honors," said Straub.

A First Team All-North Atlantic Conference selection, Woodie led the Tigers in batting average (.400), on-base percentage (.525), slugging percentage (.728), OPS (1.243), and runs scored (42). He also totaled nine doubles, one triple, and was a perfect 11-for-11 on stolen base attempts.

Woodie's All-Region selection caps one of the most productive offensive seasons in program history and establishes him as one of the premier hitters in Region 1.

The Fighting Tigers finished the season with a 20-21 overall record and a 16-8 mark in North Atlantic Conference play. The 16 conference victories established a new program record, while the 20 overall wins marked the team's highest total since 2023. Cobleskill has now qualified for the NAC Championship Tournament in six consecutive seasons.
