Clermont, Florida: The SUNY Cobleskill women's softball team opened the final day of their Florida road trip by adding a game versus the Tigers of Buffalo State College to the 2022 The Spring Games schedule replacing a game lost due to the team's travel difficulties on Sunday. The Fighting Tigers lost the contest, which started at 9:00 a.m., to the Bengals by a 7-3 tally. With the loss Cobleskill falls to 0-4 overall on the season while Buffalo State improves to 2-5 overall on the campaign.
After the Fighting Tigers scored the first run of the game the Bengals responded by pushing the next seven runs across the plate added by three Cobleskill errors.
Sophomore first baseman
Alexis Miranda, Nashua, N.H., Nashua High School, provided the bulk of the Fighting Tigers offense going 3-for-4 with a triple, two RBI and a run scored while senior shortstop
Maya Davies, Binghamton, N.Y., Chenango Valley High School/Onondaga Community College, was 1-for-4 with a double and a RBI on the day.
Cobleskill will close out the road trip later during the afternoon facing the Hornets of Kalamazoo College at 2:00 p.m. followed with a 4:00 p.m. meeting with the Panthers of SUNY Old Westbury.
