Amsterdam, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill baseball team took to the road on Wednesday evening falling to the host Dutchman of Union College 6-5 in non-league action via a walk-off sacrifice fly under the lights at Shuttleworth Park. With the loss the Fighting Tigers are now 19-14 overall on the season while the host Dutchman move to 13-14 overall.

After moving out to a 5-3 lead after six innings the Cobleskill bullpen could not hold the advantage as the Dutchman tallied once in each of the last three innings scoring the winning run on a ninth inning one-out sacrifice fly off the bat of sophomore center fielder Thomas Parisi. The Fighting Tiger offense was led by first year designated hitter Logan Hutter, Smithtown, N.Y., Smithtown West High School, who went 2-for-4 with a home run three RBI and a stolen base and senior shortstop Eddy Garcia, Bronx, N.Y., World View High School, who went 2-for-3 with a walk, two runs scored and a career high of four stolen base on the evening. First year catcher Dylan Pohl, East Meadow, N.Y., East Meadow High School, was also a factor in the game with a solo home run as part of a 1-for-4 effort at the plate.

Cobleskill will next be in action on Saturday April 30 when they travel to SUNY Canton in Canton, N.Y. for a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) doubleheader versus the Kangaroos with first pitch scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
