Cobleskill, NY – The SUNY Cobleskill Athletic Department has announced that sophomore outfielder Avery Prievo (Camden, NY) and sophomore pitcher Alex Burciaga (West Islip, NY) have been named the Fighting Tiger Athletes of the Week for the period ending March 29, 2026.

Prievo put together a strong week at the plate, going 8-for-17 (.471) with a .647 slugging percentage as the Fighting Tigers posted a 3–3 record. She tallied two doubles, drove in five runs, and scored six times, consistently applying pressure on opposing defenses in matchups against SUNY Morrisville and SUNY Potsdam. Defensively, Prievo was perfect in the field, recording a 1.000 fielding percentage across five chances, including four putouts and an assist.

Burciaga delivered a solid outing on the mound in Cobleskill's 3-2 conference win over Husson University, earning the victory with 5.1 innings pitched. The sophomore struck out six while allowing just two runs on seven hits, posting a 2.00 ERA in the appearance. He induced five groundouts and five flyouts while facing 25 batters, effectively keeping Husson's offense in check.
