Cobleskill Softball Earns No. 3 Seed in NAC Tournament

Cobleskill, NY – The SUNY Cobleskill softball team is set for postseason play as the Fighting Tigers head to the 2026 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Championship Tournament, scheduled for Thursday, May 7 through Saturday, May 9 at the Robert & Frances O'Keefe Softball Field in Bangor, Maine.

Cobleskill opens the tournament as the No. 3 seed and will face No. 6 UMaine-Presque Isle on Thursday at 12:00 PM.

The Fighting Tigers finished the regular season with a 10-6 record in NAC play and 20-19 overall. The 20 wins mark the program's highest regular season total since 2015.

The six-team field is led by top-seeded and No. 20 nationally ranked Husson University, which posted a perfect 16-0 conference record (33-4 overall). Thomas College earned the No. 2 seed at 12-4 in NAC play (19-18 overall), followed by Cobleskill in the No. 3 spot.

UMaine-Farmington secured the No. 4 seed with a 9-6 conference record (14-17 overall). SUNY Delhi and UMaine-Presque Isle both finished 9-7 in NAC play, with Delhi claiming the No. 5 seed via tiebreaker and Presque Isle earning the No. 6 seed in its first postseason appearance since 2023.

The tournament will follow a double-elimination format, with all games played as seven-inning contests.

The NAC champion will earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Softball Tournament, with regional play beginning Thursday, May 14 at campus sites across the country.
