Cobleskill, N.Y. – The SUNY Cobleskill Athletic Department has announced that women's volleyball senior Baylee Kirschberg (Lindenhurst, NY) and men's soccer senior Rob Staubitz (East Rockaway, NY) have been named the Fighting Tiger Athletes of the Week for the period ending September 13, 2026.

Kirschberg made program history while helping lead the Tigers to a 3-1 victory over SUNY Poly, becoming Cobleskill's all-time career assists leader. The senior setter dished out 35 assists, the second-highest single-match total of her career, while adding 13 digs and four kills. She continued to direct the Tigers' offense throughout the week, recording 13 assists against Union, 14 against Hartwick, and 16 against Russell Sage. Kirschberg finished the four-match stretch with 78 assists, averaging 5.57 per set, to go along with 29 digs and 11 kills.

Staubitz provided the offensive spark for the Fighting Tigers in their 2-2 draw with Albany Pharmacy, contributing to both Cobleskill goals. The senior recorded a goal and an assist while finishing the match with two shots, helping the Tigers earn the road result.
