Cobleskill, NY – The SUNY Cobleskill Athletic Department has announced that women's soccer sophomore Alexa Siegel (Cornwall, NY) and men's soccer first-year goalkeeper Sean Hanrahan (Elmira, NY) have been named the Fighting Tiger Athletes of the Week for the period ending September 27, 2026.

Siegel continued her strong start to the season by delivering the decisive goal in Cobleskill's 1-0 SUNYAC-opening win over SUNY Canton. The sophomore found the back of the net for the third time this season, converting from the top of the box with 11 minutes remaining in the opening half. Siegel finished the match with a team-high four shots, placing three on frame, as the Tigers secured a victory in their conference opener. For her performance, Siegel was also named the SUNYAC Women's Soccer Offensive Athlete of the Week.

Hanrahan turned in a strong week between the posts, highlighted by the first clean sheet of his collegiate career in the Tigers' 0-0 draw at SUNY Canton in their SUNYAC opener. The first-year goalkeeper made a career-high eight saves over the full 90 minutes, coming up with several key stops to preserve the shutout and secure a point on the road. Earlier in the week, Hanrahan made five saves in a 1-1 draw against MCLA, including a full-stretch diving stop in the final minute to keep the match level. He finished the week with 13 saves, one clean sheet and just one goal allowed across 180 minutes of action.
