Marcy, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill men's lacrosse team dropped a 17-5 decision to the host Wildcats of SUNY Polytechnic Institutes in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Western Division action on Wednesday evening. With the loss the Fighting Tigers are now 0-4 overall and in conference play while the Wildcats improve to 5-0 overall with a 4-0 mark in NAC play.
Cobleskill trailed 3-1 at the end of the first period when the home standing Wildcats erupted for seven second period goals to take a 10-2 lead into halftime from which they never looked back as the SUNY Poly defense generated 31 turnovers on the afternoon while the offense out shot the visitors by a 55-to-22 margin.

Giovanni Bevaqua, Newton, N.J., Newtown High School, turned in a strong offensive effort on the afternoon with two goals and an assist along with four ground balls while freshman goalkeeper
Sean McMahon, Clifton Park, N.Y., Shenendehowa High School, recorded 22 saves on the afternoon for the visitors.
The Fighting Tigers and the Wildcats will meet again on Saturday April 27 in Cobleskill, N.Y. at the Soccer/Lacrosse Complex with face-off beginning at 1:00 p.m.
