Cobleskill, NY — SUNY Cobleskill Athletics has announced a leadership change within its men's lacrosse program, as Greg Valachovic has stepped down as head coach of the Fighting Tigers.

"Greg is a Cobleskill alum who cares deeply about this program. We are grateful for his commitment to our student-athletes and wish him all the best moving forward," commented Marie Curran, Director of Athletics at SUNY Cobleskill.

Valachovic, a SUNY Cobleskill alumnus, returned to his alma mater in 2022 to lead the program. During his tenure, he guided the Fighting Tigers to a 13-34 overall record while helping the program earn multiple All-North Atlantic Conference selections, including two NAC Men's Lacrosse Senior Scholar Athlete of the Year honorees. Valachovic was also named the 2023 North Atlantic Conference Co-Coach of the Year.

A national search for the program's next head coach is already underway.
