Cobleskill Lax Falls to Delhi Broncos 14-7 in NAC Play

Oneonta, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill men's lacrosse team lost their North Atlantic Conference (NAC) opener to the host Broncos of SUNY Delhi by a 14-7 margin in a game played on the turf at SUNY Oneonta's Red Dragon Stadium. With the loss the Fighting Tigers fall to 0-2 overall on the season to date including a 0-1 mark in NAC action while the Broncos improve to 2-4 overall with a 2-0 record in league action.

The Broncos jumped out to an 8-0 lead before the Fighting Tigers tallied to secure the victory as Delhi posted a 53-19 advantage in shots while winning 14-of-22 face-offs on the afternoon. Delhi also forced 28 Cobleskill turnovers on the afternoon as compared to committing only 14 of their own.

Cobleskill received multiple goal efforts from sophomore attackman Aaron Brooks, Geneva, N.Y., Geneva High School, and from sophomore attackman Gregory Neumann, Accord, N.Y., Rondout Valley High School, who each had a pair of scores on the afternoon.

The Orange & Black will return to action on Friday March 25 when they host the Eagles of Husson University in NAC action beginning at 4:00 p.m.Ā
