Waterville, Maine: The North Atlantic Conference (NAC) announced today that SUNY Cobleskill men's lacrosse goalie John Williams, Smyrna, Del., Smyrna High School, has been named the NAC Men's Lacrosse Defensive-Player-of-the-Week for the weekend ending Sunday April 9, 2023.

The Smyrna, Delaware native was the defensive catalyst in the team's 21-4 victory over the host Cyclones of Centenary University, Hackettstown, N.J. on Saturday afternoon as the Fighting Tiger goalie recorded 14 saves and caused a turnover on the day.

On the season, Williams has posted a 5-1 record with a goals against average of 9.10 on the year recording 75 saves with a save percentage of 60.0 %.

The Fighting Tigers, who are currently 5-2 overall with a 1-2 record in NAC action, will next be in action on Wednesday April 12 when they travel to Aurora, N.Y. for a non-conference meeting with The Express of Wells College with face-off scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
