Jenna Smyczynski, East Aurora, N.Y., East Aurora High School, has been named the NAC Softball Co-Rookie-of-the-Week for the week ending on Sunday May, 5, 2024.
The talented first-year outfielder turned in an impressive week at the plate in four contests batting .500 by going 9-for-18 with three stolen bases, a double, three runs scored and a pair of runs batted in.
On the season to date the East Aurora, N.Y. native is batting a team leading .416 on the year going 32-for-77 at the plate with three doubles, a triple, seven stolen bases, 11 runs scored and nine RBI.
Cobleskill is currently 19-15 overall on the season with an 11-3 record in NAC play which has earned them the number four seed for the upcoming NAC Softball Championship Tournament this weekend to be hosted by Husson University in Bangor, Maine on Thursday May 9. The Fighting Tigers will open the event by meeting the fifth seeded Mustangs of SUNY Morrisville beginning at 10:00 a.m.
